Multi client feature
With JULIA MailOffice you can create and manage as many clients as you like. This enables the administration of domains within your company with different and appropriately defined security policies.
Compatibility
JULIA MailOffice is compatible with:
- S/MIME & PGP
- All common email clients: Microsoft Outlook & Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.
- Lotus Notes Crypto hardware & SmartCards
- Client-based solutions (JULIA MailOffice was successfully tested for Sphinx Interoperability at summer of 2005)
- JULIA MailOffice runs on recent Linux and Solaris operation systems
Central antivirus and content filter
With JULIA MailOffice you can apply internet security policies with multi-level data stream controls for the entire company. So employing third party solutions you can centrally check encrypted emails for virus and content.
Customizability
You can customize JULIA MailOffice individually to meet all your demands and specify if:
- Emails to particular recipients shall be encrypted in general
- your employees can use the password protected access to emails
- a uniform signature is used for outgoing emails
- your employees will be allowed to modify the encryption procedure

Automatic PKI connection
For exchanging encrypted emails you will need your communication partner's certificate. JULIA MailOffice provides an automatic PKI connection for automated certificate exchanges which deeply simplifies the entire procedure.
JULIA MailOffice has access to the certificate:
- via LDAP and CRL connection
- by automated download of certificates (Trustcentern via "managed PKI"
- by signed incoming emails (JULIA MailOffice employs the received certificate)
- by manual implementation of present certificates. This includes PGP keys, too.
Scope of applications
JULIA MailOffice offers a wide range of application opportunities:
- for employees to use encrypted communication
- for protection of transactions between eBusiness systems
- as signature solution (e.g. for newsletter or shop systems)
Webmailer
If your external communication partner uses neither S/MIME nor PGP and if you want to ensure a secure email communication JULIA MailOffice provides encrypted email exchange via an integrated webmailer.
Two operation modes are available:
- Webmailer with "single-use password"
- Webmailer with personalized inbox
In order to reduce the interaction between sender and recipient of an email JULIA MailOffice offers by request comfort features like "password self service". You should run the Webmailer component on a separate server to increase the security level of your IT infrastructure.
Encrypted PDF mailing /
Security forced automatically (Sfa)
Besides Webmailer you also can use following variation to send confidential documents via email to the user:
Before sending an email including the attachments will be transformed into a PDF file. This PDF file will be encrypted and sent as attachment via email to the specific recipient. With help of the password the recipient got he can now open the PDF file and import it to the his email client.
